It isn’t as random as it sounds. These are recipes I come up with in the spur of the moment when I need a quick meal and have specific things in my storage.
This time I had (for one serving);
2 sausages (I had bought these from a canteen nearby) [diced]
2 Tomatoes, preferably ripe (diced)
1 large onion (diced)
A small green pepper (thinly sliced)
Seasonings of your choice – this includes salt and black pepper
Some Macaroni – I had the coloured ones (don’t like one colour food)
Some cheese – according to taste (optional)
Tablespoon of oil – according to taste, I like mine less than most.
A dash of wine – if you have some left over, it pairs well with some. ‘_’ (optional)
What I did;
I boiled up the macaroni as package described (no I didn’t, I have a system but I gotta keep some of my secrets) and put them aside after rinsing and straining.
I fried the onion in the oil, high heat, till translucent, put in the green pepper, then the seasonings, before the tomatoes.
Put in the tomatoes, sausages then stir and reduce heat to simmer for a minute or so. Add your wine if you chose to have some and stir in your cheese and add about a cup of water gradually while stirring to make it thick.
Simmer for about 3 minutes longer or until ready then you can add the macaroni to the pan for a little while or you can pour the soup over it in whatever you are serving it.
